SALSATION® is a fun and addictive, functional dance workout! You’ll learn the art of moving to world rhythms while getting fit but, SALSATION® is so much more than just a dance class – it’s the result of years of research and development.

Each 60-minute class is carefully crafted by a licensed SALSATION® Instructor to improve overall strength and flexibility, increase the body’s range of motion and take your dance skills to the next level.

Never danced before? Don’t worry! You don’t need any previous dance experience to enjoy a SALSATION® class. No matter what fitness or dance level you’re at, SALSATION® is safe, FUN, and effective!
The choreographies are built on solid fitness principals that are enough to challenge a seasoned dancer but are accessible even to the beginner. Dance never felt so good!

*A proven method *
Each class follows The SALSATION® Equation and begins with a set of body isolation exercises and dynamic moves to safely warm the body. At the end of class, instructors guide the class through a soulful, slow song to cool down. Throughout the class, our instructors cue the proper direction, placement, and movement physically rather than verbally which naturally draws the dancers’ eye and encourages students to focus and develop their own natural movement.  This makes the barrier to entry super simple and is great for new dancers and international participants.

SALSATION® movements are carefully thought out and are based on functional training principles that encourage growth in these four areas:
Locomotion: The focused and controlled movements of SALSATION® assist in rebuilding tissue, correcting faulty movement patterns, and minimizing the impact of injuries.
Level changes: SALSATION® supports a healthy core by incorporating squats, lunges, and lifts into our choreographies.
Push and pull: Dancing is not just fancy footwork; the arms get a great workout too! In any given song, you just might be performing a pull-down, an overhead press or a row.
Rotation: Choreographies often change directions strengthening rotational power and your core.

What can you expect from a SALSATION® class?

The class is a 60-minute group fitness dance workout lead by a certified SALSATION® instructor.    The carefully structured warm-up is specifically designed to improve range of motion, body awareness, and musicality.
The warm-up is split between isolations and dynamic moves choreographies.    The isolations exercises, a total “must” in the dance world, helps participants learn to isolate specific body parts.    Paired with dynamic moves, the participant’s body and mind is prepared for everything that follows in the class.
Following the warm-up, the instructors will use fixed choreographies to different songs, including among other genres: Latin, Dancehall, African and Pop music.   Instructors use body cueing to guide participants through each song, without disturbing the flow and energy of each song.    Participants will find themselves feeling the music throughout their body and being swept away with the emotions of the singer.    Instructors can decide to take a few very short breaks to explain the lyrics or improve their participants’ dance skills with some helpful tips.
The class ends with a cool down and stretching.
Participants exit the class with an overall feeling of happiness and accomplishment.
